1. Definitions
- "Service" refers to the online courses, website, and related materials provided by Synapta.
- "User" / "You" means any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
- "We" / "Us" / "Synapta" refers to the company operating this website and the courses listed on it, registered in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
- "Content" means all course materials, text, code examples, exercises, and related resources.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions in their current version.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or enrolling in any Synapta course, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
3. Service Description
Synapta offers online AI development courses delivered through structured written materials, projects, community access, and optional mentoring. Services are described on the website and may include:
- Self-paced course access for the duration of enrolment
- Community forum participation
- Code reviews (where included in the enrolled course)
- Mentoring sessions (Mentored AI Program only)
Course availability is subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes to services you have already enrolled in.
4. User Accounts
Accessing course materials may require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Sharing access credentials with others is not permitted. Notify us at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
5. User Responsibilities
When using Synapta services, you agree not to:
- Share course materials with individuals who have not enrolled
- Reproduce, resell, or redistribute course content in any form
- Use the community or communication channels to post spam, harass other users, or share inappropriate content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract course content in bulk
- Misrepresent your identity or qualifications when interacting with mentors or instructors
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including text, code examples, diagrams, and exercises, are the intellectual property of Synapta or its content contributors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use course content for your own personal learning during the period of your enrolment. This licence does not permit redistribution, commercial use, or reproduction outside of your personal study.
Code you write during projects remains yours. Synapta does not claim ownership over work you create during courses.
7. Payment Terms
Course fees are listed in Thai Baht (฿) on the website. Payment is required before course access is granted. Accepted payment methods are confirmed during the enrolment process.
Refunds: If you request a refund within 7 days of enrolment and have not accessed more than 20% of the course materials, we will process a full refund. After this period, or if a significant portion of the content has been accessed, refunds are assessed case by case. Contact [email protected] to initiate a refund request.
8. Course-Specific Terms
Self-paced courses have no fixed completion deadline during the enrolment period. The Mentored AI Program includes scheduled mentoring sessions — dates are agreed between you and your assigned mentor. Failure to attend without reasonable advance notice may result in the session being forfeited without replacement. Workshop dates in the Mentored Program are announced in advance; recordings are provided where available.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is". While we take care to ensure the accuracy and quality of course content, we make no representations about specific outcomes. Learning results vary depending on the time you invest, your prior background, and how you apply what you study. Nothing in our courses constitutes professional advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, Synapta's liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant course. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost income or data, arising from your use of the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Synapta and its staff from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms. You may also stop using the Service at any time. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will do so.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the courts of Chiang Mai, Thailand, unless we agree in writing to an alternative resolution process. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issue informally before initiating formal proceedings.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the full agreement between you and Synapta regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to another party without our written consent.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will notify enrolled learners by email.
